Web Technologies, is an introductory course to understand and learn various web technologies that are widely used in industry. The main objective of this course is to expose the students to web programming concepts and to make them ready for developing mini and major projects on their own.

UNIT II - CSS

CSS Introduction, CSS Properties - Controlling Fonts, CSS Properties - Text Formatting, Selectors - id and class, Pseudoclasses, CSS for Links, CSS for Lists, CSS for Tables

UNIT III - Page Layout & JavaScript

Understanding Site, Page Size, Designing Pages, Structuring Pages & Design Issues
JavaScript: Introduction, Variables, Operators, Functions, Control Structures, Events, Objects.

UNIT IV - DHTML

Advanced JavaScript, DHTML DOM and Forms.

UNIT V - XML

XML Introduction, XML DTD, XML Schema, Parsing XML, XML Path, and XML Transformations.

UNIT VI - PHP

PHP Introduction, Creating PHP Script, Running PHP Script, Variables & Constants, Data types, Operators.

UNIT VII - PHP & MySQL

PHP Conditional Statements, Control Statements, Arrays, Functions, Working with forms and database using MySQL.

UNIT VIII - AJAX & CGI-PERL

AJAX Introduction, AJAX with XML, AJAX with PHP, Common Gateway Interface and Perl Programming.
